Here it is – South Eastern Europe. You must be wondering how it is possible to depict all mountains, rivers, roads, towns and buildings on one map.
If everything is depicted as it is most of the sites will be too small for us to see. In this we are helped by colours and signs. The rivers and seas are blue, and the plains are green. Mountains are shown with the help of green hills.
Larger and important roads can be seen clearly. Sea travel also follows certain routes and the ports are connected with naval corridors, which are shown too. White stars mark the capitals and white dots – other important cities. Each map has a legend, which explains the meaning of the signs used in it.
