During that time the first monasteries emerged. The monasteries provided shelter to those, who were willing to devote their life to God, to live modestly and humbly glorifying only God’s name. Besides the monasteries were the only spiritual centres – locations, where the young people were taught, and where they re-wrote books and composed songs.
A very large part of these monasteries survived to present days. We can visit them, and listen to the stories of the monks about these old times.
