The Monasteries are places, where people devoted to God live. They are called monks. The first monasteries emerged in Syria but very soon after they were popular throughout Europe. The Christian monasteries are catholic and east orthodox. It is typical for the monastery complexes to have a yard, surrounded by buildings, designated to various activities.
