This building is in the historic area of Targul Cucului, which was the city’s Jewish neighbourhood in the past. The synagogue is a landmark not only in the neighbourhood but in the entire city. Along with high architectural and town-planning value, it is also a very important memorial site of the Jewish cultural heritage.
