The Lomnica Monastery ensemble is located near Šekovichi, in eastern Bosnia. The monastery church of St George is the only remain of the former monastery complex. It was probably built in the seventh or eighth decade of the 16th century. The church possesses one of the best-preserved wall paintings from the 16th century in the area west of the Drina river. The iconostasis constructed by the monk Longin from Pe? is considered as the most valuable and beautiful iconostasis in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Other valuable works of art from Lomnica two choir tables decorated with intarsia and 23 icons.
