Capital
The upper part of a column. Capitals are richly decorated with a variety of forms.
Cartography
The science of making and using geographical maps.
Cathedral
Large main church, usually located in the central square of a city.

Century
A period of time equal to one hundred years.
Chapel
A small church.

The Christian house of prayer.
Civilization
The name used to denote the development of human societies in time. It covers all walks of life: work, religion and cultural life, education, arts and daily life.
Cobblestone pavement
A stone pavement of a yard, street or road.
Context
A connotation, which determines or specifies the meaning of a certain concept. We also use the word to express everything that surrounds us.
Continent
One of the seven large landmasses on Earth – Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Asia, Australia and Europe.
Continuity
Consistent following and development of an activity.
Craft
An activity for producing something specific. Manual labour prevails in the crafts. They are learned after prolonged and systematic training.
Crayon
A type of chalk or coal dust used for drawing.
Crypt
A secret chamber beneath the altar in a church used for burials of holy persons.
Custom
An old generally accepted habit established by tradition and deeply rooted in everyday life. Customs are handed down from generation to generation and people keep them in their life.
