Christmas at the museum

Holidays are always exciting and colorful experience. Christmas is a day full of legends, tradition and joy. In 2005, the National Polytechnic Museum in Sofia (Bulgaria) gathered about 150 children from the Orphanage for growing and education of parentless children “P. R. Slaveykov” and from the elite 134 High school “Dimcho Debelianov”. With various beliefs, from various ethnical groups, the children created together beautiful traditional Christmas decorations, sourvaknizi (decorated cornel twig used by children to tap people’s backs, when wishing them a Happy New Year), souvenirs and paintings. They sang, danced and enjoyed together.
