ABOUT THE TREASURE
In the 6th century before Christ. Delphi was indeed the religious centre of the whole ancient Greek world and a symbol of its unity. Here the oracle of Delphi prophesized the signs of god Apollo, and the round altar of the sanctuary was considered to be the 'navel of the world'. This ancient cult site, charged with sacred meaning, bends harmoniously with the superb mountain landscape.
