ABOUT THE TREASURE
The Eltz Manor is one of the most representative examples of feudal court architecture in Croatia and the most valuable secular building in Vukovar. Built in 1749–1751, it was originally in a simple early Classical style. About 150 years later, the Viennese architect Viktor Siedek designed the elaborate neo-Baroque façade that we see today. It represents the ideas of late historicism (an architectural current drawing its inspiration from the past).
