The golden mask was found during excavation works at Trebenishte (near Ohrid, FYR of Macedonia). It is a golden burial mask from the tombs of ancient Greek aristocrats. Ancient Greeks buried rich and famous people, covering their faces with such masks. The Golden Mask is one of the most precious items you can see at the National Museum in Belgrade, Serbia.
