The Gialova lagoon, in the southwestern part of the Peloponnese Peninsula, is a place where many species of birds of passage stop on their way from Europe to Africa and back. Its shores are densely covered with reeds and water plants and its waters abound in fish. That is why many birds spend the winter here.
