The village of Palackovci is located in the northern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the church of the Apostles Saints Peter and Paul was found an inscription, carved on the top of the doorjamb on the western facade, reading that the year of construction is 1843. Its simple plan and modest dimensions however are specific features typical for the churches from earlier times. This lead to the conclusion that the church must have been built much earlier and that the year 1843 was only the year of its reconstruction. With the harmony and precision of its architectural arrangement, and richness and diversity of decorative elements, the church in Palachkovci stands out as a special achievement in the group of log-built structures.
