ABOUT THE TREASURE

Where: Croatia, island of Cres
When: Late Middle Ages

This monumental residential palace is the largest patrician building in Cres. It was built in the 15th century by the owner of the estate, a person of Jewish descent from Senj called Moysevich. The architecture of the palace is in Gothic and Renaissance style. The main facade has an elaborate architectural structure, richly decorated with sculptural elements. There is a prominent family coat of arms representing a lion holding the Star of David.
